We are a mid-sized public library in Washington County, Maryland. In addition to our main branch in Hagerstown, we have seven branch libraries and a bookmobile.
Nifty Fact #1: Our first librarian, Mary Titcomb, invented the bookmobile!
Nifty Fact #2: Our regional library, the Western Maryland Public Library (now called Western Maryland Regional Library) designed the international symbol for libraries… cool, huh?

do you have a program for reading to teh blind or visually impared? If you do, I would be interested in signing up as a reader. I am thinking of trying to break into teh audio book reading profession and was advised that reading to the blind or children would be excellent practice.
Please let me know if you have any programs that might fit this bill?
Thanks,
Callie Ryan
